THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS - Ronan Malloy
Jeff Branson is not one of those actors who was born with a burning desire to perform. Rather, he stumbled into what would become his profession when he got a tip that the acting teacher at his high school didn't have a problem with students sleeping through class. One day, however, he managed to remain awake, and a new life course was born.
Branson originated the role of Jonathan Lavery on All My Children. Although he was off the air for a while his character was believed dead in an explosion, Branson remained on contract the entire time. In 2003, he played the role of a younger Alan Spaulding on Guiding Light; coincidentally also played Shayne Lewis on Guiding Light up until the last episode of the show in 2009. Branson then began work on The Young and the Restless and won the 2010 Dankies Award for outstanding supporting actor for his role as Ronan Malloy.
Branson has an impressive list of film and television appearances outside of daytime drama, including his most recent role as "Master Jailer" on Supergirl.
